The "Fregat" and Its Surroundings (Photos)
I attended the Microsoft event "Regional Developer Seminars (Autumn), Kherson". Let those more competent speak about the seminar itself, so I'll skip my impressions and thoughts about it here; I'll only note that it was an unpleasant surprise that fewer than 30 people turned up there.
Since it all took place in the conference hall of the "Fregat" tourist complex, I got to see the wonderful view of the city that opens up from the top floor of the building, which surprised not only me but everyone else seeing it for the first time. Kherson really is very beautiful from certain angles. I was also struck by the huge number of pigeons living all around — I don't remember ever seeing so many either. I managed to photograph all of this, and the shots follow below. First, a few morning photos when everything is in the haze, then interesting pre-lunch views from the hotel as the fog dispersed, and finally, shots taken once it was all over, after lunch.
