Night of the Musicals 2025

"Night of the Musicals" is a magical show, well worth its 50 euros for a seat in the front rows) Great performances of the numbers by singers from all over the world. Besides CYFtLT, I got goosebumps from the songs Phantom of the Opera and Eye of the Tiger, the latter impressed me the most, because it was the first time I'd seen a staging of that song. Somehow I didn't know, or had forgotten, that there's a Rocky musical.

I would have liked more songs from TLK and Cats, but they need more elaborate costumes, so there was only one song each. Memory didn't impress me much, though it was nice, maybe I'm just used to the performer being older.

After the show I felt like watching the movie Grease, since I keep coming across its songs all over the place and know them. I also need to rewatch Moulin Rouge, since I didn't get it as a kid)

All in all, an atmospheric performance, it was interesting when the whole hall reflexively started clapping along to We Will Rock You. The ending with the audience getting involved was good too.

Maybe it lacked live music, but then together it would have been even more expensive. Besides, I'd already been to a performance with live music back in the autumn, where they sang without costumes or dancing.

There was also an interesting setup with 5 small screens on the stage, which displayed the corresponding video during the numbers. Quality execution and performance of everything, all of it precise to the minute.
