A living blog?
It's been more than 10 years since I started a blog. I began writing on LiveJournal on December 1st, 2006…
Lately I haven't written anything, and I moved the blog to my own site almost two and a half years ago now. I didn't even write about it, though I should have, since I was just updating the components on the site and didn't immediately notice the missing changes I'd made earlier.
I made my last public entry almost two years ago, and it's partly provocative, to weed out the readers I don't need, even though I wrote it after analyzing various photos and videos.
I'll leave LiveJournal entirely, I won't write there anymore. Either way, most of the people who remain there are the ones who support the Russian government or supported it while it was waging active hostilities in Donbas. There are still foreigners in my feed and those who are neutral about politics, along with a couple who don't support the Russian government, but most of the interesting authors are no longer there, and if I remove the unpleasant entries from my feed, then there'll be almost no one left at all.
Plus LiveJournal has now moved to Russia and they freely delete whatever they don't like, which makes being there completely pointless. I found this out after I'd decided to leave it. Good timing :)
Yes, people have disappointed me badly, people I know too, which killed my desire to write. And chatting with friends has satisfied my need to express myself. But expressing and recording thoughts on various topics that interest me are needed too, I need them.
When I was moving the blog to the site, I found some of the entries interesting and quite useful. So I'll keep the blog going first of all for myself, considering that it might be interesting and useful to someone else too. We'll see what comes of it.
In general, I'll try to keep the blog more active, all the more so since there's something to write about.
