It explained well how faith works and is built. In the film the main characters, a detective and a priest, believe in the same things, but came to that faith by different paths - through logic and through religion respectively.

It also explains well how faith gets used in a harmful way, with the example of the murdered pastor. That such people are everywhere, and that even faith in the kindest things can be weaponized and used to do harm, in order to gain power and destroy opponents.

While it's still fresh in my memory, the main points of the trip to Poland. From Modlin airport you can get to Warsaw by bus or by one of two trains. One train goes to the in-city airport, passing through the main railway stations. The other goes to the West station, to platform 9, which used to be a separate station and is located far from the main station. They all run every hour.

Buses between the airport and the Modlin railway station run every 15 minutes, the ride takes 5 minutes, so you can catch the bus 10 minutes before departure. Nobody checks tickets on the bus.

You can buy tickets both at the airport and online. If you look at the exit from the airport from inside the building, then on the right there's a kiosk that sells bus tickets to Warsaw, which runs every hour, and on the left there's a kiosk selling train tickets.

Bought a white stand for the white model Antonov planes. The discount was 23% nationwide, when it started at 20% a week ago, I won't check the price anymore, or this weekend it'll turn out to be 25%)

I was hunting specifically for the old version with the 1 TB drive, not the new one with 825 GB after the shrinkflation. First I went to the nearest store from the bus stop, there were piles of the version with a disc drive, but on the shelf there was only one new 825 GB without a drive, although the website and the price tag said 1 TB - I didn't bother asking the staff and went to the store in the mall - they didn't have it there, but it wasn't in stock on their site either.

After that I went on to the biggest home-appliance chain's store - there were already three old 1 TB ones on the shelves, although the price tag was for the new 825 one too, but they weren't anywhere to be seen.

Saw the Der König der Löwen musical - I'd long dreamed of seeing this show live. It would have been better in English, but German is fine too, since I know all the songs and almost all the text, except for a few scenes that are only present in the musical. I'll need to read the original script.

Circle of Life, He Lives in You and To Die For are powerful, the last one especially so now... Interestingly, the song Chow Down sounds better in German than in the original. Does German suit the hyenas better?)

Shadowlands is also powerful, but Endless Night in this rendition somehow didn't move me, whereas the original gets to you.

I thought about taking the bus a couple of kilometers to Comic Con, but I saw a notice that the stop near the venue was closed, it was faster to walk, I arrived just at 9:30, when they started letting people into the building - the line moves fast

Getting back to normal after a trip to the Baltic States — it was pretty packed:

Flew into Tallinn on Saturday during Museum Night, when all the museums are 1 euro or free, but we only managed to visit the Pharmacy museum.

Sunday turned out to be an unexpectedly great day, when we went to the Open Air Museum, and it turned out there was also a Ukrainian festival there, Vyshyvanka Unites, with various performances and a fair. Then we visited the Computer museum.

"Night of the Musicals" is a magical show, well worth its 50 euros for a seat in the front rows) Great performances of the numbers by singers from all over the world. Besides CYFtLT, I got goosebumps from the songs Phantom of the Opera and Eye of the Tiger, the latter impressed me the most, because it was the first time I'd seen a staging of that song. Somehow I didn't know, or had forgotten, that there's a Rocky musical.

I would have liked more songs from TLK and Cats, but they need more elaborate costumes, so there was only one song each. Memory didn't impress me much, though it was nice, maybe I'm just used to the performer being older.

After the show I felt like watching the movie Grease, since I keep coming across its songs all over the place and know them. I also need to rewatch Moulin Rouge, since I didn't get it as a kid)

Also, there was a good reminder that neurotypical people forget social interactions quickly and don't remember them for months.

There are no background filters in the brain of neurodivergent people to filter out things, as happens in the neurotypical 95% of the population. Furthermore, different filters are missing in different neurodivergent people.

You need to change your routine depending on your state. Investigate what charges and drains different parts.

The casing of my Aftershokz Aeropex headset (Shokz OpenRun after the rebranding) started cracking after 2.5 years — that was solvable with superglue and electrical tape. But now the main button has gotten stuck, the one responsible for power on, power off, and volume up. You can't turn the headset off or pause with that button, and you can only pair it through the phone after connecting the headset to a power source, which isn't convenient. Plus sometimes the button comes unstuck and the headset keeps turning itself off.

It's disappointing to see such low quality from a top brand of bone-conduction headsets. I see other users run into these problems before the warranty runs out, and they get a new headset sent without any hassle, because officially they don't repair them. So such a high price isn't because of quality, but because they just send free replacements if it breaks within the first 2 years.

The headset cost 121 euros after a Black Friday discount, and a repair would probably come to around 30 euros.

The queue for the Bulgarian Comic Con this year is several times bigger than last year. I thought all the crowds back then were because of the post-covid years, but now it's something huge, half a kilometer long. How will everyone fit?

They gave out the new sugar-free Fanta for free - at least some compensation for not being allowed to bring in more than 0.5 l of drinks)

Now maybe I'll gradually be able to speak more freely about the russkies. Something has to be done to hasten victory and prevent the war from happening again. Among Russians I've met only a handful who respect Ukrainians and Ukraine, who sincerely sympathize, and even those few don't want to be Russians.

The overwhelming majority of russkies who are against the war have no respect for things Ukrainian, they consider it something inferior or Russian, they're for the seizure of Ukraine, maybe by peaceful means, maybe by the more effective military one, but they have no respect, they don't even understand their own contempt. We don't need such people.

On top of that, we also have a portion of Ukrainians who need such good Russians or a good russia, there are plenty of them, and there are many of them among the authorities too. That's why we can't stay silent, can't shut ourselves away in bubbles, we have to carry the message and change the people around us. It's a substantial part, you can't just make it disappear.

The trip to Sofia was a success. I managed to accomplish what I set out to do, namely to order a new international passport. The details of the journey follow.

I arrived in the capital of Bulgaria by train at six in the morning. It was too early to go anywhere, so I sat at the station for an hour and a half listening to the latest, "Farewell", episode of the "Vmistozher" podcast.

Then I walked into the city to a cafe. At first I wanted to visit one of the top cafes in the recommendations, where you can work and charge your gadgets, but after reading the reviews about the food, that there might be problems, I remembered the cafe where we sat last year and decided to have breakfast there. The service there was definitely good and the food was good, the only problem being that it's cramped and there aren't many seats, but I was planning to get in right after it opened.

Well, I decided to find a proper hobby, something that's pleasant and interesting to do over the long term, and something that, I hope, is needed not just by me alone. An information project about big cats. Even if I don't manage to make it, then I'll write an article about the failure and that'll already be useful)

The problem with a podcast is that I'm not good at speaking, and because of that editing audio takes a lot of time, and that's not an interesting process, one that requires motivation. And binge-watching TV series, fun and entertaining as it is, I don't see much point in it beyond the rest it gives.

Photography, too, just isn't interesting anymore; photographing the same thing over and over gets boring, and new subjects require ideas and inspiration, which aren't always there. And video games are purely entertainment for me, but I want them to actually be useful.
