De-russifying mail and hosting

I moved the mail for the abysim․com domain from Yandex.Mail to ProtonMail. Now I have one main mailbox there, with about 8 different addresses on it. There's still the former main mailbox, the one on bigcats․ru, but I'm gradually replacing it everywhere with whitelion․me whenever I get the chance.

A mailbox on a Russian domain is a very unreliable thing these days, even if the mail itself weren't run by Yandex. They can take the domain away there at any moment. It's strange they didn't take it in 2012, when we exposed Putin's show with the tigress, but back then the authorities there weren't so unhinged.

It's funny that ProtonMail is banned in Russia and you need a VPN to use this mail there, because the service encrypts messages, doesn't give the FSB access to them, and doesn't store Russians' data in Russia. Be more careful with those services that aren't banned in Russia.

I also moved the personal site abysim․com from Moscow to a virtual server in Atlanta. I'd hardly touched the site itself for 7 years, ever since I moved it to the latest CMS version and migrated the blog onto it from LiveJournal. At first the site was in France, but the host moved the server to Russia.
