New Year's Night

A couple of hours after the new year arrived, the laptop started glitching, various programs began crashing with errors or failing to start. As a quick check showed, a RAM stick had died; once I pulled the stick out, the errors went away. I'll have to make do with 1 GB of RAM for the next 10 days while I'm out in the village.

After that I finally switched the blog to a paid account, so now there are no ads in LJ for visitors and AdBlock+ isn't needed, I'll also try to figure out customizing the blog's appearance to my liking and now I can create syndication feeds.

Quite an interesting New Year's night it turned out to be, I don't know what to expect from the year :)
