Syndications of big-cat feeds

Since I switched to a paid account, I decided to create syndications of interesting feeds and blogs on LiveJournal so I could read them in my friends feed. I know it would be better to use a proper RSS aggregator or reader for this, but I've already gotten quite used to reading my friends feed several times a day and I don't feel like figuring out anything else. Maybe these syndications will be of interest to someone else too.

Dave Salmoni's official blog dave_salmoni and the fan blog davesalmoni_fan. Animal trainer Dave Salmoni is a well-known host of and participant in various Discovery (Animal Planet) programs. The most memorable of them are the ones where he works up close with big cats. In "Living with Tigers" he helps raise tigers in Africa, and in the show "Lion Man" and the new series "Into the Pride" he gets into prides of wild lions.

Gareth Patterson's official blog garethpatterson. Gareth inherited the last of George Adamson's free lions; he writes about this in his books "Last of the Free", "Cry for the Lions" and "With My Soul Amongst Lions". Besides these books, Gareth Patterson is the author of several more books about lions, elephants, and the nature of Africa; in Russian, apart from the three listed, there is also "Where the Lions Once Roamed". Right now he continues to work on conserving Africa's wildlife.

The wall of Tiger Conservation on Facebook jvbigcats_fbook. It posts videos, photos, links, news and articles about the African tigers and lions that John Varty is raising. The beginning of this story can be seen in the Discovery show "Living with Tigers". John Varty is a wildlife cameraman who has shot many films, including a rare film about the lioness Shingalana, and he himself appeared in the feature film "Running Free" alongside Brooke Shields and Martin Sheen. These days he works with big cats at Tiger Canyons in South Africa, which you can read about on the official site, which has no feeds, so Facebook is better for keeping track.

News from The Global White Lion Protection Trust whitelions_org. I've already mentioned this trust a few times in my posts; it works on conserving white lions in the wild, as well as returning them to their natural habitat. It was founded by Linda Tucker, author of the book Mystery of the White Lions: Children of the Sun God.
