Cats, a cave, a leopard, pigeons (photos)

A few photographs from the last day in Simferopol. A trip to the Marble Cave was on the schedule before lunch. Everyone gathered outside the hotel and took a bus from there. While we waited, we captured a couple of cats sitting in the grass by the building:

In the cave we took the shortest tour; six years ago, on a trip to Crimea with several FTL classes, we walked the longer route. But this time everything was free, including photography, since TNU paid for the tours. You can easily find information about the cave online, as well as good shots, but here are a few decent photographs of mine from the Marble Cave:

After returning to the city and walking around it, we stopped by a shopping center where there was a spot with various souvenirs, including big-cat figurines. Among them were a clay tiger and metal-coated plastic figures of a crooked-faced cheetah (labeled "leopard" on the price tag), a tiger and a leopard. In Kherson I would have passed on such souvenirs, since there were no lions among them, but I wanted to get something to remember my stay in the city, so I bought this leopard in a box labeled "tiger" (the photos were taken today):

While we were waiting for the train at the station, we decided to feed a pigeon that was walking by, and as a result the number of pigeons started growing exponentially.

As we fed them, the pigeons grew a little wary of coming near us. As it turned out, there was this predator lurking right at my side:

In the end, feeding the pigeons turned into an attempt to feed the cat :) But nothing came of it — the bird was too experienced for that.
