Old books about big cats, cheetahs in the USSR
I walked around the Nikolaev market near the bus station. A stall caught my eye where there was a book with a tiger on the cover about the animal world of the USSR, and right next to it was a book on a similar subject. When I was buying them, the seller offered two more, also Soviet-made, but by Durrell. So, I picked up 4 books about animals for 45 UAH.
They're all from the 80s. The Soviet ones have illustrations and photos, and among other animals, they cover the big cats of the USSR: tigers, leopards, and cheetahs. I knew that cheetahs lived in the Union, but I didn't think, or didn't remember, that they remained into the 80s.
